Celebrating My Wife's 29th Birthday

On her twenty-ninth birthday, I reflect on my wife’s unwavering love and support throughout our journey together.

Celebrating My Wife's 29th Birthday

The sixth of May means a lot to me. It’s my wife’s birthday. She turned twenty-nine today. And for the first time, we don’t have anything special planned.

It’s not like I didn’t take a break from my corporate life. I did. We had a quiet cake-cutting moment. Not with a bunch of friends, because honestly, I don’t have many. Just the three of us — me, my wife, and our daughter. And I believe, in this phase of life, the best gift I could give her was my time.

We got married pretty young. I was twenty-five and she was twenty-one. Today, that feels too early for many. I didn’t even have a stable job back then. But if there’s one thing I’ve never doubted, it’s that marrying her was the best decision I ever made.

She has been my lightning rod through it all. For the last ten years, she has stood beside me without fail.

During my bad days.

During the good ones.

During the times when my pockets were empty and hope felt far away.

She stayed. Quietly, strongly, without ever making a big deal out of it.

So, on her twenty-ninth birthday, I just wanted to pause for a moment. Thank you for all the love. Thank you for all the strength. Thank you for all the silent support she's given me.
